Accessibility Statement

This is a good-faith statement of our target and current practices — not a formal compliance certification. If you hit a barrier, tell us and we'll fix it.

Our commitment

Ongrow Systems wants ongrowsystems.ca to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, have low vision, or have motor or cognitive disabilities. As an Ontario business, we build toward the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our target standard.

What we've built in

Full keyboard navigation, including a "skip to content" link and a visible focus outline on every interactive element
Semantic HTML — real headings, landmarks, buttons, and links, not generic clickable <div>s
Text and interface colors checked to meet or exceed WCAG contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI elements)
Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
Respect for your system's "reduce motion" setting — animation turns off automatically if you've set that preference
Touch targets sized for real thumbs (44×44px minimum) and a layout that works down to 320px wide and up to 200% zoom

Known limitations

This site is actively maintained, and accessibility is an ongoing target rather than a one-time checkbox. If you encounter content, a control, or a page that doesn't work with your assistive technology, we want to know so we can fix it — this isn't a formality.
